Our Story

PIPEMATE was founded in 1983. What started as a trading company, we have grown by leaps and bounds, expanding to manufacturing our own pipe jointing systems and valves in 1987.

We were the first in Malaysia to produce Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) coated pipe jointing system Couplings, Flange Adaptors, Flange Restrained Dismantling Joints, Expansion Joints, and Steel Flanges.

Our FBE Powder Coating Plant was inaugurated in 1991 at Sri Kembangan, Serdang, Selangor – the first of its kind in Malaysia.
In 1993, PIPEMATE entered into the innovative production of FBE Coated Pressed Steel Sectional Water Tanks.

Our Story Continued

PIPEMATE had been working in partnership with SAPAG Valves, pioneering the industry with the marketing of their body lined butterfly valve and the CLASAR silent check valve since 1984. The experienced gained allowed us to propel PIPEMATE forward into manufacturing our own gate, check, and butterfly valves.

Understanding our customer’s needs, providing the right product and solutions have always been the deep rooted tradition and culture of the company. In 2000, the Ultrafit™ Coupling & Flange Adaptor was introduced. A new product, a new solution for the pipe jointing system.

Through twenty years of manufacturing, PIPEMATE‘s technical know-how, engineering, and production enabled us to develop and introduce the NEW total pull-out restraint Coupling & Flange Adaptor for PE pipes in 2004, the PEGrip™.

PIPEMATE has gained the confidence of our clients and industry consultants in being the leading, reputable, and reliable go-to company to supply packages of products especially for water distribution and sewerage treatment projects throughout Malaysia and globally around the world.

As we enter a new era of growth, we seek to stay faithful to our entrepreneurial spirit of sincerity, credibility, and our heritage. Having begun our overseas activities in 1988 to now exporting to over 25 countries, PIPEMATE has been actively involved in copious aspects of pipes and pipelines, ensuring that constant feedback from the market’s needs are received and heard.

This has allowed us to be innovative in our product development and staying ahead of the market’s trends, constantly pushing new boundaries and bringing the best of the best to the industry.

Since 2005, we were the sole distributor for CLA-VAL in Malaysia and have provided copious solutions to our clients; supplying Automatic Control Valves, Pressure Reducing Valves, Pressure Relief Valves, Pressure Management Control Valves, Flow Control Valves, Electronic Control Valves, and Altitude Valves.
